Warwickshire steeped in history and culture, lies within the West Midlands region of England, the heart of the country. Most towns are realistically classed as Market Towns with a long heritage and beautiful undulating hills and gentle wooded slopes surrounding them.
Stratford-upon-Avon - the most well known of Warwickshire's towns and all for one man, William Shakespeare. Thousands of tourists flock each year to see the bard's birthplace, but it has an attraction in it's own right, with it's original timber framed tudor buildings and the picturesque River Avon. By the river lies the famous theatre of The Royal Shakespeare Company.
Nuneaton - the largest town in Warwickshire and also noted for the 19th century author George Eliot being born on the nearby estate of Arbury Hall the "Gothic Gem" of the Midlands.
Warwick - known as the main county town, with it's magnificient tudor buildings and imposing Warwick Castle, where medieval jousting re-enactments are perfomed in the summer months.
Kenilworth - with Kenilworth Castle renowned as "probably one of the finest ruined castles to be seen in Britain" and Stoneleigh Abbey the home of Jane Austen's relatives. There is also Stoneleigh Park, home of The Royal Agricultural Society, who host The Royal Show each year in July.
Royal Leamington Spa - well known for it's Regency and Georgian architecture and tree lined avenues and gained it's 'Royal' prefix in 1838 after Queen Victoria visited the Spa.
Rugby - famous for being the origin of the sport Rugby, is a traditional market town with Victorian architecture.Alcester - is an ancient Roman town, with many architectural sites. Coughton Court, owned by the Throckmorton family and open to the public, is known for it's association with the Gunpowder Plot of 1605.
Henley in Arden - a small, pretty market town whose mile long High Street has been classified as a Conservation Area for it's many interesting architectural buildings. Henley was originally within the vast Arden Forest, which was cleared at the time of the industrial revolution.
Evesham - an old market town sitting within the Vale of Evesham, known as "the fruit and vegetable basket of England", with acres of plum and apple trees.
